From 10th to 11th September 2024, researchers, educators, mediators, and practitioners were invited to engage in dialogue about the implications and power structures of methods in cultural education through research, artistic practice, and reflection. This year, the annual conference of the Knowledge Platform KUBI online took place in Cologne, Germany.
On the 15th Conference of the Research Network for Cultural Education, the team of the RPTU Landau and the KINEMATHEK Karlsruhe presented the current state of the art regarding the participatory and collaborative research process. The question they were asking was: “Artists and researcher create together… but what exactly? Reflections on a cooperative project in media education and educational research.” Together, Carmen Beckenback, Kimlotte Stöber, Fenna tom Dieck and Bianca Baßler gave an overview over EXPECT_Art project, introduced the methodological background, and presented methods of collaborating. The workshop ended with a very exciting discussion amongst other experts in the context of arts, education and research.
